The statue of Zeus at Olympia existed for over 800 years and was a technological feat, sculpted by one of the most famous artists of classical Greece known for none other, than the parthenon in Athens. It drew thousands of pilgrims, and a Roman emperor even tried to steal it - but not without the wrath of the gods coming down upon him first. Can one statue really cause this much fuss? Let’s get...

Definitely the most intriguing Ancient Civ. A question that comes to mind often is how they did start? rather than how did it end. Did one small tribe learn how to play positive sum games with another so well that they realized that they could do much more? How did they down play zero sum games and negative sum games? Once I start thinking about these questions I begin to see how they did end up disappearing or leaving. I think culture was probably the main reason.

I think your moto is poor as it is easily interpreted in ways you probably don't earnestly suspect . Honestly when i bumped on your channel i wondered if you are a woman who never washes herself and is a vocal advocate of never cleaning until the sweat forms a dried layer on your skin that falls off. Disgusting ? yes. Then i thought your neon text made me think your a an advocate for promsicuity without hygiene which is equally repulsive.. Honestly i am not lying i was wondering how crazy you are. Until yes i finally realized you talk about archaeology and digging ground. Even so i still think you have a poor moto and could find way better one like "grounded in history".

    * Hi Raven. Hope you're doing well. I was just wondering if that would be alright if I asked your opinion about "Jabal al Lawz" being the "real" Mt. Sinai, and the pharaoh of the Exodus being "Amenhotep II". I saw a documentary called *Unlocking* *the* *Mystery* *of* *The* *Lost* *Ark* *l* *Parable* *Documentary* with "Simcha Jacobovici". I realize that they refer to him as a "pseudoarchaeologist", but they did a really good job explaining the biblical plagues(all 10 of them) as being the result of the extremely violent eruption of the volcano on Santorini. * The only problem is, it would've had to have erupted during Amenhotep II's reign(1425 - 1400 BC). Could it be possible that Santorini actually erupted around that time. Not 1600 BC. I was just wondering what you though about all of that.

I love the ones about how the circumference of the Earth and the speed of light are encoded in the measurements of the pyramid. This was, I suppose, intended as a message to people far in the future. Strange that only a handful of really smart people figured it out. However, that was only after it was all figured out with modern means...by smarter people. Makes me wonder if these values were only in the "Great" pyramid or are they present in just any old pyramid.
